Ingredients (serves 4):
Coffee Jelly
- Gelatin powder – 2 sachets (10g)
- Unsweetened coffee – 445 ml (2 cups + 3 tbsp)
- Sugar – 3 tablespoons (30g)
- Coffee liqueur – optional, to taste
Creamy Coffee Milk
- Unsweetened coffee – 3 tablespoons (45 ml)
- Milk – 245 ml (1 cup + 3 tbsp)
- Fresh cream – 2 tablespoons (30 ml)
- Condensed milk – 2 tablespoons (40g)
Preparation
Coffee Jelly
- Sprinkle gelatin into the coffee and let it bloom (soften).
- Heat the mixture gently in a water bath to around 50°C and stir until the gelatin dissolves.
- Add sugar and stir until fully dissolved. Add coffee liqueur if using.
- Pour into a shallow bowl or tray and refrigerate until softly set. (Don’t let it become too firm!)
Creamy Coffee Milk
- In a jug, combine the remaining coffee, milk, cream, and condensed milk. Mix well and chill.
To Serve
Break the coffee jelly into rough pieces using a spoon or fork. Spoon into serving glasses and top with the creamy coffee milk.
Serve cold with a wide straw for that café-style experience.
